Looking back…

Looking Back...to our own news pages over the last sort of four years, well purslane never took off as a crop, imported lettuces remain strong favourites, pruning is now a steady winter job, lambslettuce does  a bit better, spinach  now occupies a third of our tunnels  in spring, building is repair and renewal only which is quite a job too , radish does well, strawberries a bit less due to lack of pickers, biodiesel was a total disaster, terrible repair bills due to muck in all fuel systems (these biodiesel boys in Aberdeen should be taken to court for supplying rubbish)  implements are back home,  we will try again here, the snow first and then gales did ruin our high tunnel after all we now only grow low crops in low tunnels, new house is still Adrian’s, the ducks have a new mate: Dylan the goose, and lettuces will be complimented with lollo’s next year . As always, some things worked out some did not and for more optimism ……..watch this space.
